"We contacted Man with a Cherry Picker Van after looking at their website. We own a 3 storey house which has challenging access to both sides and the front. We had issues with both chimneys, guttering and painting above a conservatory to the rear which without scaffolding out would have been impossible to access.
We spoke with Julian who was exceptionally helpful who asked for photos, dimensions of the driveway and agreed costs. Julian was punctual on each of the 4 days he did the work, sent videos as he progressed to explain what was required and completed videos, his workmanship exceptional, worked extremely hard and extremely fair costings. Overall we would have no hesitation in recommending this Conpany (in fact we already have Julian carried out repairs to our neighbours chimney too).

"I can’t rate Julian highly enough. I’d give him 10 stars if I could. Julian came to re point our chimney, not only is he thorough, the quality of his work is second to none. He is reliable, kept in touch and came when he said he would. He took video footage before and after his work. To be honest we didn't realise how bad the chimney stack was beforehand. But Julian took time to explain what he was doing and showed us progress along the way. Via his video footage we could see a few broken and missing roof slates, so whilst up there, Julian also replaced these and made our roof water tight again. I highly recommend Julian and we will definitely use him again."

"I needed some painting doing on my house but because the job was so high up, I couldn't get a painter to do it without hiring expensive scaffolding.I got in touch with Julian, who gave me a very reasonable quote so I asked him to come and do the job for me.
He was thorough, helpful, knowledgeable, polite and he never stopped working and because he finished the work ahead of schedule, I was charged £100 less than the quoted price for the job!
He provides a fantastic service and I would highly recommend him to anyone that needs to carry out any high access work.

"My chimney pot fell off and I was shopping around for prices from local builders to scaffold and mend the chimney. One day though on my way home I noticed Man with a cherry picker van and asked him to get me a quote and I was amazed that Julian did agreat job for less than half the price I got from builders. He did it in a day and I was one very happy costumer! Highly recommend his services!!"

You are not only paying for the cherry picker because he also does the work or can assist if its a two person job. We have used his services for clearing gutters, pointing, trimming tree branches, painting and repairs. Also for installing chimney flue liners. He will show you pictures of the before repairs and after so you know he is actually doing the work he charges for."

"Contacted Julian to repoint 2 chimney pots and fix a chimney collar on both. He came at the time stated and never stopped working throughout the day. The repairs required high access and would have cost a fortune for the scafold alone. Julian completed the work at a fraction of the cost. It's so hard to find a good service these days but Julian did a great job at very reasonable price. He always replied to our messages and provided the needed information at advance. We asked for an invoice and he provided it on the same day. He was on site even 10 minutes earlier.
We hired him to remove the signs from our shop, once he was done he checked and cleaned the gutters and inspected the roof. Highly recommended to everyone who needs a man with a cherry-picker van in the Sheffield area!"

"I contacted Julian when I discovered a leak around my chimney stack was letting water into the bedroom. Prior to contacting Julian I contacted local builders who said it would require scaffold to be erected and traffic lights to control the road traffic and the price quoted wasn’t cheap.
So, I looked for an alternate solution and came across ‘The man With a Cherry Picker Van’. Julian arrived the same day and provided me with a quote for the work, which I was happy with. He came the following week and completed the work in a professional manner. He repointed the chimney breast and replaced some of the lead flashing as well as capping the chimney off.
All in all a great job, so much so that I will be contacting him again shortly to help with installing a flue liner and fitting a new chimney pot."

"Highly recommended. Julian attended on the date he said he would and it cost me what he told me it would. Removed me a birds nest from a very awkward, very high gable end, and put me some bird spikes to prevent them coming back. He also did my front gable as well. Much cheaper and easier than scaffolding!"

"Julian arrived on time and never stopped working throughout.
Replaced some concrete in my eaves. Access was very difficult with ladders due to my sloping driveway, but with the cherry-picker no problem. It began throwing it down with rain almost immediately afterwards, but he helped me put some sheeting over it despite it running slightly over the time I'd paid for.
Also, topped out some overgrown conifers for me.
Excellent job, from a friendly and helpful chap. Thoroughly recommended."

"I contacted Man With A Cherrypicker Van regarding safe access to inspect and clear all of the guttering on our new home. This guttering problem was just one of many roof related tasks we were aware needed addressing.
From speaking to Julian he told me that along with his safe access equipment/ credentials also included within his rate he will work on most property related building maintenance tasks.
Julian came and under his own initiative worked flat out through a list of roof related tasks that required addressing. To summarise he cleared blocked guttering, improved a section of badly designed guttering including adding a new downpipe, re-pointed a considerable amount of failing mortar around coping stones and valleys, trimmed a massive destructive wisteria, re-bedded the garage ridge tiles, literally a catalogue of jobs. This was all over and above my initial access expectation. I did nothing but buy a few materials and a coffee while he cracked on.
I can definitely recommend."
